Why Choose Discover Boxer Dogs? (Trust & Expertise):

Discover Boxer Dogs is Chris & Mary Kustanbauter. Chris has owned Boxer for most of his life, growing up in his teens and twenties with two spunky male boxers, Thor and Nemo. For the past 17 years we have been adopting Boxers through Adopt A Boxer Rescue. In addition, we help Adopt A Boxer Rescue with home visits, and transportation of rescued dogs. We support this great organization because there is a critical need to help these abandoned and abused souls.

Our years of experience raising Boxer dogs and our continued work with Adopt A Boxer Rescue have helped us develop expertise in caring for the wonderful dogs, who are part of our family. Our hope is you trust us to provide you accurate information for raising happy, healthy Boxer dogs.

Our Mission at discoverboxerdog.com is to be a comprehensive boxer dog resource providing the latest, most applicable information to help you raise a happy, healthy boxer dog.

Our Loving Girl Chloe

Chloe

Chloe was rescued from being a bait dog. She was tied up and other dogs would attack her when they were being trained to fight. The poor girl still has scars on her neck and face from her horrible ordeal. Chloe was the happy girl and was Duke’s older sister. They were very close and were always together. Chloe passed away in 2017.

Duke – Man of the House and resident “Wild Man”

Duke

Duke “aka Dukie Duke” was surrendered to the rescue after ad he fell through a trampoline requiring 50 staples to close the wound. Duke loves all his sisters. He loves to play with the frisbee and run around the backyard like a wild man. He’s always excited when we come home and will race across the kitchen and into the living room to grab his favorite toy so you will play with him. We have had Duke for 9 years and he is still going strong.

Hazel

Hazel was a rescued Puppy Mill Mom. She was the sweetest girl and loved her snacks and treats. She was the Matriarch to Duke. Wherever Hazel was, you were sure to find Duke right beside her. Hazel loved her early morning belly rubs. She would come up the stairs and sit and give me sad eyes. I would stop what I was doing and she would immediately roll onto her back so she could enjoy a nice 10 min belly rub. She passed away from Cancer in 2022.

Our Adopted Boxer Girl Katie

Katie

Katie was a Puppy Mill Mom Survivor that we adopted in 2022 after Hazel passed away. Because she spent her entire life in a crate at was often pulled out of the crate and hit, she was very scared of people, noises, and movement toward her. She bonded immediately with Duke and became Duke’s “little sister”. Wherever Duke is, you are sure to find Katie. We are happy to report that Katie is doing great and is warming up to friends and neighbors that visit.
